Hello again!
We have some news at last, seems a while since we last drafted an article, but it has been slow work just settling in. We’ve had to do loads of personal stuff so time has flown although in some respects i.e. Zambia, things have been quite quiet.
We have discovered some interesting neighbours...
And had fun celebrating Valentine's day at Moyo's, one of the biggest outdoors restaurants in South Africa, if not the biggest....
We've got our phone line installed at last (00278518336) and this week we got access to the internet and of course Skype – so we’re open for business on that front! But most importantly we went to the central business district in Capetown in search of an immigration consultant...
And when we found them...
We collected Vuyo's study permit so now Vuyo is free to travel in and out of South Africa as many times as he likes until the end of 2012 – but more importantly he is able to attend school again, starting on Monday.
Hopefully that will help give us a bit more routine to our lives!
Earlier in the week I spoke at length to Joseph Mwila in Kitwe, Zambia and it looks likely that I will be visiting in mid to late March, when we will have more idea whether or not the Lusaka church plant is to go ahead or perhaps be postponed until more troops are gathered; more to follow on that one at a later date.
We have also discovered that there is a church plant taking place in Port Elizabeth led by Alastair Buchanen from Jubilee. Helderberg sent a team down there last weekend to do some beach evangelism and a few other things, I thought of you Karen, when we heard about this, may be your family will be interested.
But overall, this has been a good week and for the benefit of Liz Grantham, here’s a photo from our veranda, that finished off our day and week perfectly (just to make you greener!!)
Issues to pray for are personally for us to continue to settle in and get involved in the church in SA, but also for Joseph and Lillian Mwila in Kitwe with whom I am developing an increasingly close relationship, that they may know God’s will for all the issues relating to their own current churches in Kitwe, the potential Lusaka church plant and for the overall national strategy.
Until next time, our love to everyone
Neil, Tendai and Vuyo
