Prayer & Fasting for Eric Gaudion - MAY 2010

Eric has agreed to a procedure at a London hospital which will enable him to have complete pancreatic rest for several weeks. Whilst this means that his body has potentially time to rest and heal it also means that for a whole month at least he will not be eating in the usual manner that you and I enjoy doing, i.e. via our mouths. As we prayed about this we felt it was an opportunity for God to work alongside the gifting of medical staff with supernatural power; moreover there is a challenge upon us to get alongside Eric and Diane specifically in prayer over the next few weeks to see the enemy defeated and God glorified.

Jesus exhorted his followers to specific times where there would be a need to pray and fast for particular needs; in fact he said that on certain occasions this was the only means of breakthrough [Matt 17:21; Mk9:29 margin]. We read elsewhere that the first Christians saw God breakthrough in amazing new directions during seasons of fasting and praying [Acts 13:1-3].

What Eric is undergoing is a fast of sorts. He misses out on a lot of the joy of eating. This got us thinking. As a result we are encouraging one another to identify a day or more during the month of May to pray and fast for Eric. We can accommodate more than one person per day of course but it would be really great if every day could be covered and that Eric and Diane know that a friend is praying for them that day. If there are any specific needs on a particular day we can let the person(s) praying know and similarly if you have sensed the Lord speak prophetically this can be shared with Eric and Diane. Let's see what God will do!

Really BIG thanks to all of you! I am finding the fast very hard indeed. I am constantly hungry and long for the comfort of a hot drink. The real issue for me, though, is that the hold of the dreadful disease pancreatitis should be broken. Jesus breaks every fetter! So thank you for partnering with me and with the Holy Spirit. Eric

Eric, YOU ARE HEALED...Jesus "took up (y)our infirmities and carried (y)our sorrows"...and..."by His wounds (you)we are healed". Luke 1 v 37 - "For nothing is impossible with God". The blood of Jesus has healed you. The pain that He bore has set you free from pain. I declare that YOU ARE HEALED and freed from pancreatitis. Amen

Hi all

Many thanks again for your support and care! The going is getting harder now in the fourth week of my fast. Given and Esy - thanks for your prayers, but do take time to read my book Storm Force - the teaching there will be of interest to you. There are some for sale at the back of the church. God bless, Eric
