About the writer

James heads up the PA & Visuals team at Church On The Rock. He loves music, design, freshly cut grass and the one who made it all. When he’s not making things he’s usually fishing.

Paul Kerensa is a writer and comedian for TV shows such as Miranda & Not Going Out, he’s also a Christian.

We caught up with Paul to find out a little more about how his faith impacts his life.

When he’s not writing scripts and gags for hit BBC television shows such as Miranda and Not Going Out he can be found touring the UK doing stand-up comedy gigs. We heard great things about Paul so we thought we’d bring him to Guernsey. In-between launching our Alpha Course and hosting a lunch for business guys and girls we caught up with Paul to chat about his life and experiences as a comedian who happens to be a Christian.

The Alpha Course

The Alpha Course is an opportunity to explore the meaning of life in an informal, fun and friendly environment, where no question is out of bounds. The Alpha course consists of a series of talks, looking at topics including ‘Who is Jesus?’ and ‘Why and how do I pray?’, with the option of a weekend away. We meet for dinner and each talk is followed by discussion in small groups.
